About Total Insight Professional Services

Total Insight Professional Services (TIPS) is a DOT compliance company headquartered in Eagle, Idaho. We help commercial vehicle operators obtain USDOT numbers, manage FMCSA and state compliance requirements, and stay audit-ready. Since launching, we've helped thousands of companies across all 50 states.

We work with for-hire trucking companies, but we also serve private fleets and commercial vehicle operators who don't need MC authority. Construction companies, landscapers, well drillers, dump truck operators, concrete haulers, farm operations, and any other business running vehicles that require a DOT number. If you have commercial vehicles on the road, we can help.

Why We Started TIPS

Before starting TIPS, we spent years working inside the transportation compliance industry. We helped thousands of carriers and commercial vehicle operators file for USDOT numbers, set up compliance programs, and pass safety audits. We saw what worked and what didn't.

We also saw how the industry treated small operators: Confusing pricing. Charging for filings you didn't need. Support lines that went nowhere. People left to figure out complex FMCSA & State regulations on their own.

We started TIPS to do it differently. Transparent pricing. Direct access to people who actually know what they're talking about. A focus on getting things right the first time instead of fixing mistakes later.

TIPS was founded by Samantha Vickery and Bailey Hoak, two veterans of the transportation compliance industry with nearly 20 years of combined experience. Before starting TIPS, they worked with over 10,000 small businesses navigating DOT and FMCSA requirements.

Both Samantha and Bailey handle compliance across the board. Either one can answer your questions, walk you through your requirements, and get your filings done right. When you call TIPS, you're not being routed to a specialist or put in a queue. You're talking to one of the two people who built this company and know your situation.

Where they differ is in day-to-day focus. Samantha handles most of the hands-on filing work: IFTA, IRP, state permits, authority applications, and direct coordination with government agencies. Bailey focuses on regulatory monitoring, keeping up with changes to federal and state rules, and creating educational resources for carriers.

But when it comes to helping you stay compliant, they're interchangeable. Call either number and you'll get the same level of knowledge and support.
