Which States Does TIPS Complete Reports For?
We file quarterly reports for Kentucky (KYU weight-distance tax), Oregon (weight-mile tax), New Mexico (weight-distance tax), New York (Highway Use Tax), and Connecticut (Highway Use Fee).
Each state's return is its own calculation on its own account, but they all share the IFTA calendar, which means one missed quarter usually means several missed filings at once. Handing us the whole stack ends that problem.
What Happens After I Order?
At the end of each quarter we collect your miles by state, calculate each return, file with each state you're registered in, and keep copies for your records. One purchase covers one state's reports; add a report for each additional state you need filed. Buy a single quarter or all four for the year.
Frequently Asked Questions
When are state quarterly reports due?+
State reports follow the same schedule as IFTA: January 31, April 30, July 31, and October 31.
Can you handle multiple states at once?+
Yes. Purchase additional quarterly reports for each state you need filed, and we run them all from the same mileage data you send once.
What if I had no miles in a state?+
You still need to file a zero report if you are registered. We handle that for you.
Do I need to be registered in the state first?+
Yes. You need an active account in each state before we can file reports on your behalf. If you have not yet registered, TIPS can open the account too: KYU, Oregon, New Mexico, NY HUT, or Connecticut.
Does this cover my IFTA return too?+
No. IFTA has its own filing service: IFTA Quarterly Reports. This service covers the state-specific weight-distance and highway-use returns filed alongside it.
