Who Needs to File?
Any vehicle with a taxable gross weight of 55,000 lbs or more that uses public highways. This includes most semi-trucks and some heavy straight trucks or combinations.
When is 2290 Due?
The tax year runs July 1 through June 30. If your truck is already in service, the return is due by August 31. New vehicles must file by the last day of the month after first use.
